For several generations, Maison Moutard has been known for its commitment to excellence, dedication to tradition, and in particular, for its work with old and forgotten varietals. With a deep respect for the terroir and the nuances of the wines associated with it, the Moutard family endeavours to create a continuity between the wines of the past and the present. Their award-winning, handcrafted Champagnes are produced sustainably, and come from 22.5 ha of vineyard that are still worked with a “raclotte”. Also of exceptional note, most of the champagnes are matured in Burgundy oak casks and rest for long periods that may exceed 15 years.
“This well-cut Champagne is lacy in texture, carrying well-meshed flavors of white raspberry, verbena, pastry and honey. Focused, with a lightly juicy, minerally finish.”
