It was in 1920, when its founder Frutos Villar, began his journey from a town, Villavendimio (Zamora), passing his legacy to his three sons, Salvio, Jacinto and Quirino, expanding throughout the region and other neighboring provinces. Currently, there is a 4th generation, which has taken the reins of Bodegas Frutos Villar. The family has wineries in Toro and Cigales and also produces wines from Ribera del Duero and Rueda.
