Viberti Giovanni is truly a family winery—run by husband, wife, and son, the Piedmont winery continues a rich history in its 3rd generation. Viberti’s vineyards, which are farmed sustainably, are located just west of Barolo. With an annual production of 120,000 bottles, Viberti Giovanni produces excellent quality wines (Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, Barbera, and Chardonnay) with an uncompromising attention to detail
The expressive nose is smoky and bold with wild flowers, cherries and ripe berries—black and blue. The palate is rich and smooth, and echoes the nose with notes of cherry, raspberry, and blueberry compote. Noticeable but integrated tannins and good acidity.
La Gemella which means “the twin”, is an homage to winemaker Claudio Viberti’s mother, “Maria”. Maria, a twin at birth, had a great passion for the Barbera grape. 100% Barbera
