“I loved the 2016 Châteauneuf Du Pape, which is classic, old-school Châteauneuf du Pape all the way. Deeper ruby/purple-hued, with a southern France street market-like nose of cured meats, bouquet garni, resinous herbs, liquorice, and assorted red and black fruits, it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, ripe, sweet tannins, terrific mid-palate depth, and a great finish. It's enjoyable today yet will benefit from 2 4 years of bottle age and have 20-25 years of overall longevity.”
